Quite understandably, the family budget might not run to the scale of the prices for some of our larger structures. But these same children still hanker after their own special – and private - outdoor hideaway to play in...
The Design & Specification
The Little Hideaway™ playhouse is a structure that will keep its appeal for many years: it is built to survive the tests of rough and tumble, Knights in Armour, Princesses in towers, and fierce attacks from giant dragons (eek!). And be durable enough to carry on offering a sanctuary to the young teenager: a very cost effective way to encourage the children outside as they continue to grow up.
With the standard design including a waterproof hideaway playhouse, small balcony area and access ladder, The Little Hideaway™ can also be modified to include more detailed features such as a rope ladder, basket on a rope pulley, a slide or even a rope walkway to a second Little Hideaway™ playhouse to extend the scope for outdoor play. We have the ability to tailor-make your project: so whether you want the standard or expanded version of the Little Hideaway™ playhouse, Squirrel Design can answer your children’s dreams.
Another great advantage is that the Little Hideaway™ playhouse can be placed on a variety of sites – e.g. flat, sloping, open ground or woodland.

Planning Permission should not be required where the structure is installed away from the road & your existing property, as it is below the 4m roof ridge line rule. Careful consideration should be given to avoid positioning your Little Hideaway™ where it might overlook your neighbours. Your local council can advise you on whether there any special restrictions in your area.
Due to the more bespoke nature and handcrafted elements of the Little Hideaway™ playhouse, installation time is approximately 3-4 days onsite.
• The installation price includes assembling the playhouse at the chosen location.
• It is essential that we are aware of any difficulties with the route from parking to the playhouse site (narrow passageways, corners, steps etc).
• Please establish that there are no utilities etc (water, sewerage, electricity etc) running underground at the proposed site
